  • 5 to 24.9 means Normal or Healthy range
  • 25 to 29.9 means Overweight range
  • 30 means The Obese range

If your BMI lies from 25 to 30 then you are at a higher risk for developing health issues listed above.

One will think that what you eat it doesn’t matter, but that not true. It’s not just one food or nutrient that helps you to prevent disease and live a longer and healthier life. A combination of different foods and their combined effect helps the body to stay fit and healthy.

So for that, you have to calculate the calories you need to eat in a day, it can vary depending on age, weight, fitness level and whether you want to gain, maintain or lose weight.   • Sugar: Any kind of sugar whether brown sugar, corn sweetener, honey etc. They should be less than 10% of your calories per day.
  • Saturated fats: Food like red meat, poultry with skin and dairy products like cream, butter, and cheese. They should not be more than 10% of your calories per day.
  • Sodium: It should consume less than 2300 mg per day.
  • Alcohol: Moderate drink means not more than two drinks per day.
